How do I know whether I need augmentation, a lift, a reduction—or a combination?
  • Augmentation adds volume when size is the main concern.

  • Lift (mastopexy) repositions and reshapes the breast when there is sagging/ptosis.

  • Reduction decreases volume and weight to improve symptoms and proportion.
Many patients benefit from combined procedures (e.g., augmentation-mastopexy). For asymmetry, different techniques may be used on each side to achieve balance.

What recovery time and scarring should I expect?
  • Augmentation: day case; desk work in ~3–7 days; most exercise by 4–6 weeks; short scar (inframammary/periareolar/axillary).

  • Lift: day/overnight; desk work in ~1–2 weeks; supportive bra 6 weeks; scars around the areola with vertical ± horizontal line (“lollipop/anchor”).

  • Reduction: often overnight; desk work in ~2 weeks; similar “anchor” pattern; symptom relief (neck/shoulder/back).

  • Implant removal/exchange: day case; ~1–2 weeks to desk work; may combine with lift or fat transfer.

  • Areola reduction: local or general anaesthesia; circular scar at the areola edge; desk work in ~3–7 days.

I already have implants—when is removal or exchange recommended, and what are my options afterward?

Removal or exchange is considered for capsular contracture, rupture, malposition, cosmetic change, or patient preference. After removal, options include implant replacement, lift (mastopexy) to tighten the envelope, and/or fat transfer to restore contour. Suitability is confirmed with examination and, if needed, imaging.

How is breast asymmetry treated—and can the areolae be adjusted?

Asymmetry is corrected by adding volume (implant or fat transfer), reducing volume (reduction), and/or lifting one or both sides. Areola reduction or repositioning can be performed at the same time to improve alignment. Perfect symmetry cannot be guaranteed, but noticeable improvement is typical.

What financing or insurance do you accept?
